Satay AGAIN!

Grandpa brought us to have satay on Sunday.  I always loved satay and this place serves children size satay sticks!  (Note from papa:  actually, they are just very small and it’s easy for the kids to eat).  SL and myself had a bowl of sauce each, but grandma said ours is without chilli.

Anyway, SL seems to enjoy it very much, she had some of the rice and also she actually ate a few sticks of satay by herself!

It’s small enough for her to put nearly the whole satay in her mouth!

And oh, here’s my new haircut, 2 days later …

Penang Holidays

School holidays, off to Penang we go.  Ma ma thought that it was a good idea for us (the family) to take the ferry to Penang, for the experience.  It was such an efficient service that my sister did not know we went on a ferry and arrived in Penang island!  Or was she looking out for fairies instead? Hmmm …

We arrived at ah chor’s (great grandma’s house) in time for tea and we spent lots of time in her garden, mainly kicking around footballs.

We had a good time having our dinners in the garden as well!

Fun at The Curve

After our Saturday lunch and some shopping for teachers’ day, grandma gave us a treat with rides in The Curve.  I went on an elephant and mei-mei went on a spotted doggy.

Hot Air Balloons

Missed the hot air balloons on Saturday, so daddy decided to take us to see them on Sunday evening.  Sunday was the last day for the hot air balloons.  Expecting it to be even more crowded, daddy parked the car quite a distance from the event and we stood on high ground to have a look.

I think daddy took more than 100 pictures with his large camera with long lens.  I took a few other those too. The first one was daddy’s favourite picture and I heard him say that this is probably the only single picture out of the 100 that he liked! (1% … hmphhhh … I can do better I am sure!)

More pictures, no the camera wasn’t slanting, the wind was quite strong that evening.

Many of the balloons taking off from the ground.

My favourite balloon.

And finally a nice coloured one …

Not sure if they will come again next year, maybe by then I won’t need to “borrow” pictures from daddy’s camera.

Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon

This morning, daddy could not wake up and hence we were late for the Hot Air Balloon show.  This is the first ever Hot Air Balloon festival held at Putrajaya and there were lots of publicity about it.  We were there after 9 in the morning and only ONE balloon was there.  Mummy told me that the rest have gone home as they can’t be out playing all the time.

I wonder what the 2 ko-kos in front of me was discussing about.  The picture I took was kinda “blocked” by taller people, so mummy helped me take another photo with my hand-me-down old 3.2 megapixel digital camera … ahem, hint hint …

Daddy actually went pass on Friday morning and manage to take some quick shots before he went to work.  Borrowing some shots from daddy’s camera …

Maybe if daddy can wake up tomorrow morning, we may still have a chance to go again.  Let’s see … I am off to bed now …

A visit to Petrosains

Well, it’s the science museum of Petronas, which is called the Petrosains.  This is located at KLCC and mummy organized it as a family outing.

ps01

Since mummy organized it, the tickets and entrance was smooth sailing, not much waiting and not much hassle.  We went to the dinosaur exhibit for a start and since that was kinda scary, we left quickly.  We then queued to take the little “black berry” ride into the science centre.  Since it is a science centre, I guess taking the following picture is just a natural thing to do.

ps02

Oh, of course, little sister came along.  We were trying to solve some “pipe” routing which was on the wall.

ps03

My favourite!  The digger!  The 3 sticks were to control the mechanical arm and it took me some time to familiarize myself with it.  It’s interesting to me, but little sis was bored.

ps04

Being a Petronas centre, it’s obvious that there will be some F1 involvement or showcase.

ps05

It was a great day and I actually took an afternoon nap that day!

Day at the Sepang track …

Che che Today is a public holiday and to do something different, daddy decided to take us to the Sepang F1 track!  Well, we were not there to watch the F1 cars but for the unofficial Satria Neo R3 race day.

First thing first, need to get some photos with the “umbrella girls”.  Well, that is what daddy said as he was too shy to ask the girls to pose, so he asked me to put on my charming smile and ask che che …

Of course, che che said for such a cute fella, she will definitely pose with me.

Anyway, back to the cars.  We were there to watch the Satria Neo R3 of uncle Arthur and uncle Roland race.  This is my first time in the pits and I guess it is a rare privilege for us kids, but we were not allowed outside the pits due to safety reasons.

Rainy Race

A rainy day today, with lots of cars spinning off the track.  I guess the visibility would be quite bad sitting in it.  Hope that car number 15 is ok.

Me being silly in the pitsLast but not least, another highlight of the day …

Port Dickson: Legend Hotel

Straight back from Penang, daddy had to go to Port Dickson, so all of us took the opportunity to stay in the Legend Hotel. It has two types of rooms, the tower rooms which we were in and the water chalets, as pictured below.

This is how I feel about the place! He he ...
